History of Dayton tyres

Dayton tyres trace their roots back to 1913 in Dayton, United States, when the Dayton Rubber Company introduced the first tyres with white sidewalls. Prior to that, the Dayton Rubber Company produced garden hoses, rubber rings for glassware lids and many other natural rubber products. Originally, the brand’s aim was to produce premium tyres that would adorn the most glamorous products of the American automobile industry at the time. During World War II, Dayton produced tyres for tanks and flame-resistant, unbreakable rubber oxygen valves. Over the years, the brand was acquired by American tyre giant Firestone and by December 1970, one million tyres were on the market. But just 2 years later, in 1972, thanks to several plant expansions and the opening of new factories, production reached 21’000 every day. Later, in 1988, Firestone merged with Bridgestone, which is now the largest tyre manufacturer in the world.

Today, Dayton tyres are produced in the USA, France, Spain, Italy and Turkey. The Dayton range includes premium budget tyres that can compete on price with Chinese products and on performance with Sailun, Triangle and Sunfull. The tyres of this brand are manufactured in premium Bridgestone factories equipped with the latest generation of technology, machinery and materials.

Dayton tyres – Bridgestone innovation at a friendly price

Bridgestone is working hard to create products that are better for the environment and better for people. Bridgestone also makes tyres for aircraft and has recently introduced the ability to replace a worn tyre tread while keeping the old carcass. This significantly reduces the amount of rubber used in the tyre and serves as an environmentally friendly initiative. The brand also produces Seismic Insulators, which drastically reduce damage caused by earthquakes. Such Seismic Insulators are often used for heritage buildings and museums.

Dayton tyres are manufactured at Bridgestone plants in the USA and Europe and feature innovations from Bridgestone engineers. Dayton tyres’ tread patterns are based on technology that has already been proven by motorists. They are popular with drivers across the country and around the world thanks to their unique tread designs, high-quality materials and excellent performance. The brand’s range of tyres offers the right tyre for every driving condition and driving style. Dayton also produces tyres for Harley Davidson motorcycles.
