The history of Hankook tyres
Hankook, a Korean company that has become very popular in Latvia and worldwide, was founded in 1941. Originally called Chosun Tire Industrial Co., Ltd, the company was engaged in the production of various tyres. The company was renamed Hankook in 1955. During this time, the Hankook brand has become a quality mark for many tyre dealers and users.
1981. in 1996, Hankook tyres appeared in Europe as the company opened a branch in the Netherlands. The company was the first Asian agent to be awarded a contract by the US car manufacturer Ford to supply a variety of car tyres.
Hankook tyres today
There are currently 3 production plants in South Korea, the last of which is equipped with state-of-the-art tyre production facilities. Thanks to the investment in the latest equipment, the company’s management can easily plan for the future, as they are very confident that the investment will help them to produce tyres to all the latest standards for many years to come!
