Kormoran tyres are particularly well known in the heavy vehicle and bus tyre sector, where quality standards in Europe are particularly high. This makes the company think independently about product development, as the tyre market is saturated with quality products. Concentrating production in Eastern Europe is an important step. The history of Kormoran tyres

Kormoran tyres trace their origins back to 1935, when the factory where Kormoran tyres are now made began producing a variety of rubber products. As the automotive industry developed, the first tyre rolled off the factory assembly line in 1959, in the middle of the 20th century, and now, more than half a century later, it has won the hearts of millions of drivers and become an icon of the medium tyre class.

The Kormoran as we know it today is the result of several collaborations. The first collaboration was in 1974 with BFGoodrich, the tyre giant of the time, jointly creating some of the most striking tyre models of the time. Kormoran started to produce tyres independently in 1994, when, in cooperation with Stomil-Olsztyn, the production of tyres for commercial vehicles and passenger cars was launched.

1997. the year 2000 brought the brand new opportunities for cooperation with Michelin, one of the world’s largest and undoubtedly best-known tyre manufacturers. Ten years and more than a million tyres later, Michelin became the majority shareholder in Kormoran, ushering in a new era in the mid-range tyre segment. Today, Kormoran tyres adorn more than a million drivers’ vehicles and are available for passenger cars and SUVs, as well as commercial vehicles such as vans, trucks and buses.
