More about Michelin X-Ice Snow tyres

Michelin X-Ice Snow main features:

The main external difference between this model and its predecessor is the tread pattern design. The tread blocks have been reduced in size, reshaped and increased in number. This has led to a significant improvement in directional stability as well as better braking on snowy surfaces.

Another major innovation is the use of two types of blades, or hybrid blades. Both 3D slats and U-shaped slats are used in the shoulder areas and improve handling and grip on slippery surfaces during manoeuvring. They are fully retained even when the tread is almost completely worn, allowing the tyres to maintain their excellent performance characteristics for much longer. And the 3D sipes significantly improve performance on ice, as well as drying the tyre’s contact patch with the road.

The tread is made from the latest generation Flex-Ice technology rubber compound. This has significantly increased the tyre’s abrasion resistance and enabled it to retain both its flexibility even at extremely low temperatures and its shape under the influence of high temperatures.
