Eskimo Stud Features

Since this manufacturer is part of the Goodyear Group, Sava Eskimo Stud winter tires are based on the previously successful Goodyear Ultra Grip Extreme model. Eskimo Stud tires feature a V-shaped tread pattern with a highly advanced drainage channel system and studs.

The tires are made from a rubber compound rich in elastomers, which allows the tire to maintain its flexibility at low temperatures. A flexible tire provides much better traction on the road surface.

The V-shaped tread blocks contain several thousand densely packed sipes, which not only improve traction on ice but also help drain water from the contact surface. These sipes are designed using 3D-Bis technology, which makes the ride quieter and shortens braking distances.

Active Stud technology is used for the tire’s studs. Goodyear has been using this technology for years, and it has proven itself in the harshest driving conditions. The studs on these tires feature six edges that bite into the ice, creating a grippy hold on slippery surfaces.
