Optimised slat technology

The tyre tread contains several thousand sipes – narrow slits that compensate for the absence of sipes. They form countless small grip areas, which help the tyre to grip the icy terrain.

Smooth compound at low temperatures

The tyre’s grip properties remain virtually unchanged even with a significant drop in ambient temperature. This is achieved thanks to the thermal stability of the rubber compound, more than two thirds of which is silica. This component ensures the tread’s elasticity, which has a positive effect on its performance at temperatures as low as -30°!
