Have you ever asked yourself why you should use winter tyres when winter never really comes and the roads are mostly in good condition? All-season tyres may be the right choice for you, combining the positive characteristics of summer tyres with the essential features of winter tyres that make them a safe and comfortable product during the coldest months of the year.

If you’re someone who prefers to think less about tyres and trust all-season tyres, Triangle All-season is the place to look when you need new and reliable all-season tyres. These tyres will last for several seasons without sacrificing the important characteristics of winter and summer tyres, saving you money and time spent looking after your tyres.

M+S (Mud + Snow), which can also be AllSeasons or All weather. These tyres are designed for use all year round.

There are pros and cons to these tyres. They are usually chosen by motorists who use their cars relatively little. It should be noted that the M+S designation does not necessarily mean that the tyres are suitable for the Latvian climate.

When choosing Triange all-season tyres among other Triangle all-season products, MMK Tyre Service recommends that you base your choice on your driving habits, the technical aspects of your car and the quality of the road you drive on a daily basis. If you drive every day on gravel or forest roads that are not cleared or gritted in winter, all-season tyres may not be the right choice for you. Although all-season tyres have the characteristics to drive safely in all weather conditions, in extreme conditions they cannot offer the same comfort and safety as winter tyres.

This is where we advise customers to rely on the expertise of professionals. MMK Tyre Service does not recommend all-season tyres in all winter conditions.

All-season tyres are designed for use in climates where winter temperatures are around 0 °C – more so in Western and Central Europe. Although we are seeing warmer winters in Latvia, this type of tyre will be suitable mainly for drivers who make relatively infrequent short journeys.

Although all-season tyres are allowed all year round in Latvia, MMK Riepu Serviss experts do not recommend them for motorists who drive their cars regularly and frequently. All-season tyres could be a great alternative for car owners who use their car infrequently, for example only at weekends to go visiting or shopping, choosing other transport on winter days when it snows heavily or the roads are heavily icy.

They are suitable for mild climates in winter when temperatures are around 0 °C, or for driving in town and on roads that are well maintained and treated with special materials.

A good choice for customers who do not use their car or use it little during the winter months. In early spring and late autumn, these tyres can be even more reliable than summer tyres.

These tyres will have a harder compound than winter tyres and the tread will be designed to achieve the optimum combination of different characteristics. It should be noted that these tyres have a lower performance on snow and ice than winter tyres.

Also for all-season tyres, too little tread depth reduces the manoeuvrability of the car and increases braking distances. It is very important to be aware that, especially in dangerous situations, reduced manoeuvrability and braking can be very critical, so it is worth thinking about tyre quality and buying new tyres even if they still meet the regulatory requirements for tread depth, thus ensuring both safety and compliance.
