More about Westlake SP06 tyres

Asymmetric tread pattern

The Westlake SP06 tread was developed using the unique SCCT technology (controlling tread stiffness). This allowed the manufacturer to optimise the area of contact between the tyre and the road surface, creating an even load distribution and preventing tyre deformation at high speeds. A wide siping system and 4 massive channels perfectly manage the water out of the contact area, preventing aquaplaning. Extra-small recessed channels increase traction during manoeuvres. All this combines to prevent uneven tread wear, increasing tread life. Asymmetric tread blocks reduce noise during movement, making the ride more comfortable. The tyre’s sleek design makes it modern and sporty, making it very popular with motorists.

New LHHG rubber compound

The tread was produced using the unique LHHG rubber compound, which increased the tyre’s traction and grip properties. This accelerated the heating of the rubber, which has a positive effect on the tread’s grip properties and reduces fuel consumption. The rubber compound is free of PAH hydrocarbons, which prevents environmental damage.
