Toyo Proxes CF2
TheToyo Proxes CF2 summer tyre was designed as an upgraded version of the previously launched Toyo Proxes CF. The manufacturers themselves position this new generation line as an upgraded version of the summer tyre for high-speed cars, but it should be noted that this tyre model has a speed index of 240 km/h. High everyday performance.
- Rubber compound. This model served as a guinea pig at a time when Toyo was investing heavily in the development of new rubber compounds and in the search for new tread designs. It quickly caught the attention of supercar owners. Firstly, the makers increased the percentage of silicon in the compound, which resulted in lower rolling resistance. This in turn led to a trend towards lower fuel consumption. Innovative active additives were added to the rubber compound to improve wear resistance as well as increase the tyre’s grip characteristics.
- Tyre construction and design features. The Japanese tyre manufacturer’s advanced model has more than one difference when compared to the Toyo Proxes CF. To list only the most significant, the first is improved water and hot-air evacuation. In particular, this system proves its worth on sticky roads, where the Toyo Proxes CF2’s grip increases by 15% compared to the previous generation tyre. Another important feature is the ability to distribute weight evenly over the entire contact patch, which contributes to good handling, timely acceleration and fast braking response times.
- Tread features. The tread design of this tyre model contributes greatly to noise absorption and guarantees high-speed driving comfort with excellent stability and handling. Wide longitudinal grooves reduce the risk of hydroplaning. Improved tread stiffness has led to a reduction in rolling resistance.
