More about Cordiant Snow Cross tyres
With a new rubber compound and a unique siping system, increased grip is achieved on any road surface!
Significantly extended tyre life thanks to a deep tread and extra silicon in the rubber compound!
Unique SNOW-COR tread technology
This directional tread pattern has an unusual design – beams angled outwards from the centre. This Cordiant Snow Cross pattern is very successful at removing snow and water from the tread, providing excellent self-cleaning while eliminating the risk of skidding. A continuous rib in the centre of the tread quickly breaks up snow, and grooves that open in the shoulder area increase traction with the road surface. Special transverse channels and strategically placed elongated blocks reduce stopping distances on any surface. A large number of z-shaped sipes form sharp edges, resulting in excellent ice grip. Snowflake-shaped studs, with a reinforced metal core, prevent wheel slippage during acceleration and increase traction on snow-covered roads.
Dual-layer tyre construction
The use of a dual-layer tread design has improved the overall performance of the tyre. The top layer is made of softer rubber, thus improving the tyre’s grip characteristics. The inner layer of harder rubber allowed a more even distribution of pressure inside the tread, preventing uneven wear and increasing stability.
COR-FIX rubber compound
The use of an updated COR-FIX rubber compound, with a new silicon content, has improved the tread’s retreading properties and improved its grip on ice. The use of silicon increases the lifetime of the tread as it has a positive effect on the wear properties of the rubber.
