Hakkapeliitta 10 equipment

The Nokian Hakkapeliitta 10 is equipped with the latest generation of technological solutions that have enabled this radial tyre model to outperform its predecessor in both starting and braking performance, manoeuvrability and comfort characteristics. As usual, the Hakka 10 features an aggressive directional tread pattern for enhanced performance in the snow. The massive tread blocks accommodate two different types of radius - a hybrid radius system. The shoulder area features aggressive studs to help maintain grip when manoeuvring. In contrast, the central area of the tyre is densely packed with heart-shaped studs that significantly improve grip under braking and starting. Compared to its predecessor, the Hakkapeliitta 10 has 16% more radii. The studs are based on Eco Stud 10 technology, which has helped to extend tyre life and improve acoustic comfort at the same time. Small cushions in the base of the tyre's more than 200 studs allow the stud to absorb impact when it comes into contact with hard road surfaces such as asphalt, thus reducing noise and wear. In addition, a layer of sound-absorbing material is incorporated under the tread to absorb the acoustic resonance generated within the tyre. While many drivers, aware that radial tyres are safer to drive on in winter, do not choose them to maintain acoustic comfort, with the Nokian Hakkapeliitta 10 there is no need to worry about this.
