WinterCraft Ice WI51 equipment

Kumho WinterCraft Ice WI51 soft compound winter tyres feature aggressive and deep tread. This design significantly improves grip and manoeuvrability in harsh winter conditions - deep snow and slush.

The massive V-shaped tread blocks are armed with several thousand tiny sipes or sipes. The sipes act like studs, cutting into packed snow and ice with hundreds of sharp grooves, shortening braking distances and making it easier to start. In addition, the tyre's rubber compound is reinforced with Aramid fibre, improving grip, manoeuvrability and shortening stopping distances even further.

A number of elastomers have been added to the Aramid fibre rubber compound. These make the tyre soft and flexible. As you know, a flexible tyre grips the road much better and also wears more evenly.
