Uniroyal Rainsport 5 equipment

The Uniroyal Rainsport 5 features an asymmetric tread pattern that also incorporates directional features, combining the best features of both designs. The asymmetric tread pattern provides better acoustic comfort and lowers fuel consumption, while the directional tread pattern improves wet grip and lowers the risk of aquaplaning. Aquaplaning

Aquaplaning is a dangerous phenomenon caused by heavy rain, improper speed and poor tyre and road surface condition. It is comparable to sliding on ice and occurs when water accumulates in front of the tyres faster than the weight of the car can push it through the tyre's drainage channels.
