Eskimo Stud equipment

As part of the Goodyear Group, the Eskimo Stud winter tyre is based on the previously successful Goodyear Ultra Grip Extreme model. The Eskimo Stud features a V-tread pattern with a highly developed drainage channel system and studs. The tyres are made from an elastomer-rich rubber compound, which allows the tyre to remain flexible at low temperatures. A flexible tyre provides much better grip. Several thousand sipes are densely packed into the V-shaped tread blocks, which not only improve grip on ice but also help shed water from the grip surface. These sipes are made using 3D-Bis technology, which makes for a quieter ride and shorter braking distances. The tyre is radiused using Active Stud technology. Goodyear has been using this technology for years and it has proven itself in the harshest of driving conditions. The studs on this tyre have six knobs that cut into the ice, creating a barbed grip on the slippery surface.
