This model features several thousand sipes and more than 100 studsto increase manoeuvrability and traction and shorten braking distances on icy roads, and the tread blocks are arranged to create wide drainage channels between them. These channels are set at a slight angle, giving extra grip and helping to avoid skidding. The central tread block, or rib, is stiffer than the other elements to make the tyre more stable, manoeuvrable and durable.
