Tread

This model features an asymmetric tread pattern that increases comfort and makes the ride quieter, and allows the tread blocks to be arranged in different directions. The sipes serve as sharp edges that create grip even on microscopic irregularities in the ice surface. The studs, which have an analogous function to the blades, are also arranged asymmetrically. This arrangement, together with the fact that the studs are polygonal in shape, significantly improves performance on ice. The Gislaved Nord Frost 200 's safety in winter weather and its compliance with countries with compulsory seasonal tyre changes is confirmed by the snowflake marking on a mountain background with three peaks (3PMSF).
