WS-1 Features

Nankang Ice Activa WS-1 winter tires are made from a premium rubber compound enriched with a range of elastomers, allowing these tires to maintain flexibility across a wide temperature range. A flexible tire provides much better traction on the road, which is crucial when temperatures drop below 0°C.

The tire’s design features an asymmetrical tread pattern. This tread pattern promotes the drainage of water and snow from the contact surface, making the ride quieter and more fuel-efficient.

Several thousand sipes of various styles are densely embedded in the asymmetrically arranged tread blocks. This hybrid sipe system, featuring multiple-style sipes oriented in different directions, can almost completely replace studs.
