Michelin Pilot Sport 5 summer tyres feature an asymmetric tread pattern divided into two functional zones. The outer edge is equipped with solid, rigid tread blocks that significantly improve grip, traction and manoeuvrability. The central part of the tyres, on the other hand, features a highly developed system of drainage channels that effectively free the tyres' contact surface from the road, reducing the risk of aquaplaning.

The Pilot Sport 5' s carcass is made from a lightweight and durable synthetic compound and wrapped in a wear-resistant and flexible rubber compound. Even compared to its abrasion-resistant predecessor, this tyre model boasts up to 50'000km more sustainability than its competitors.
