UltraGrip Ice 3 Features

The Goodyear UltraGrip Ice 3 soft-compound winter tire features a deep and aggressive directional tread pattern. This design enhances the tire’s performance in deep snow and promotes effective removal of snow, slush, and water from the tread, reducing the risk of hydroplaning. In addition, the directional tread pattern is enhanced by a range of leading Goodyear technologies. 

Goodyear Ice Grip technology in the tire’s rubber compound makes the tires softer without compromising wear resistance. This provides better traction on ice, as the tires are 35% softer at -30°C than the predecessor of this model, as well as several other competitors.

The tread pattern is designed using Ice Handling+ technology. The special arrangement of the blocks, their size, and their relative positioning ensure a larger contact area with the road. This significantly improves the tire’s maneuverability, even when driving a heavy vehicle at high speeds.
