Ever since Nokian introduced the first winter tyre to the world almost 100 years ago, the brand has been a pioneer in the winter tyre market, regularly coming up with innovations and ingenious solutions to improve driving safety around the world. The tread pattern uses Thread Block Support Matrix technology, which reduces the play between the blocks, making the tyre more stable at high speeds and improving manoeuvrability. The tread blocks feature "snow tusks" on the sidewall that literally dig into the snow, improving grip. In addition, the tread blocks are surprisingly densely packed with thousands of blades that cut into the ice with sharp edges, significantly improving all aspects of performance on slippery surfaces.
