UltraGrip Ice SUV Gen-1 features
Goodyear UltraGrip Ice SUV Gen-1 winter tyre model featuring a classic symmetric tread pattern. This design was chosen because it offers superior performance in deep snow and wet conditions.
The massive, V-shaped tread blocks are armed with Goodyear 3D technology sipes. Acting like studs, they cut into ice and packed snow with sharp edges, improving grip on these slippery surfaces. In addition, these blades interlock with each other, increasing the grip area and improving slip resistance.
The tread and base are made of rubber alloy enhanced with ActiveGrip technology. The elastomers added to the rubber allow the tyre to remain flexible even at low temperatures. As you know, a flexible tyre grips the road much better and also wears more evenly.
Snowflake-shaped indicators are integrated into the tread blocks. These allow the tread residue to be accurately detected, which is particularly important during the winter months.
