255/30R20 Toyo Proxes Sport 92Y XL
Toyo Proxes Sport summer tyres designed for cars equipped with powerful engines and not afraid of the word speed. It should be noted that it is aimed at the European market, so the requirements of European motorists were taken into account during development. Research shows that drivers in developed countries are more likely to tolerate deviations from perfect driving comfort than shortcomings in performance characteristics. With this model, the developers managed to achieve excellent performance on the racetrack without compromising too much on ride comfort.

It should be noted that it is aimed at the European market, so the requirements of European motorists were taken into account during development. Proxes Sport features:
+ excellent high speed performance
+ High resistance to aquaplaning
+ Class A wet grip index
+ high speed/load index in all sizes
+ very good grip and noise performance
+ Maximum productivity thanks to the asymmetric tread, divided into sections depending on the functionality of the elements
+ The tyre carcass is made of a relatively rigid but very light synthetic material, resulting in higher fuel economy and sidewall strength
+ Depends on size, but the widest tyres incorporate an extra longitudinal rib for safety
+ excellent response to steering movements
Proxes Sport characteristics:
Asymmetric tread pattern. It is already known that each tread element must perform its function during movement, depending on its position. This is very pronounced at high speeds. For this reason, the developers preferred a tread with an asymmetric element arrangement, which automatically allows for several variations in tread design. The central elements are positioned at an acute angle to ensure maximum braking performance. In addition, this positioning helps prevent aquaplaning and protects against uneven wear. The outer tread sections are designed to improve grip and handling when manoeuvring and cornering.
The central tread section of the Toyo Proxes Sport is based on a series of longitudinal ribs. The ribs are solid or continuous in design, which makes the tyre stiff and improves the effectiveness of the blocks in the shoulder area. This design reduces the length of the braking distance and, when manoeuvring, evenly distributes the pressure generated between the tread and the road surface by the weight of the car. A very important feature of the centre section is the two distinctive wide water outlets. Their size makes them fully sufficient to cope with any aquaplaning threat.
Outer edge design. In designing the tyre, great care has been taken to channel the forces to which the tread is subjected into the skeleton of the tyre. To this end, a number of different measures were used, mainly in the design of the tread. The outer edge of the tread is made up of a series of rigid blocks. The inner side is also made up of many rigid blocks, but they are connected by rigid transitions. This design significantly increases the contact patch area, which further improves the tyre's driving characteristics. Some of these include manoeuvring grip, braking, resistance to uneven wear and fuel economy.
*Warning: summer tyres may have M+S on the sidewall. This does not mean that they are suitable for use in Latvian winter conditions! For more information on this and other markings, please do not hesitate to ask MMK Riepu Serviss.
