The entire tread pattern is covered with densely spaced sipes. The 2D sipes, located in the center of the tread, improve traction on snowy and icy roads, while also ensuring a quiet and comfortable ride. In contrast, the 3D sipes are locatedin the shoulder area of the Bridgestone Blizzak LM005 and ensure traction and maneuverability on wet road surfaces.

Sawtooth drainage grooves in the Bridgestone Blizzak LM005 245/65 R17 tread

The tire’s tread blocks are arranged to form sawtooth drainage grooves between the center zone and the shoulder blocks. This type of drainage groove improves performance in snow.

Enhanced performance on any road surface

The Bridgestone Blizzak LM005 tire tread is made from a rubber compound enhanced with Nano Pro-Techtechnology. Thanks to this, the tire retains its flexibility even at relatively low temperatures, allowing it to provide excellent traction on a wide variety of road surfaces—but that’s not all! Nano Pro-Tech also improves the tire’s impact resistance and slows down wear.
