Mirage MR-W662 are equipped with a deep directional tread incorporating studs. The V-shaped tread blocks also feature sipes, which significantly improve grip on packed snow and ice.

The tyres are made of a flexible rubber alloy to which elastomers are added. The silica in the compound helps to maintain flexibility, and therefore grip, at low temperatures.
