RW15 equipment
Hankook Winter i*pike LV RW15 radial winter tyres feature an aggressive directional tread pattern. This design was chosen to improve grip and manoeuvrability even in the harshest winter driving conditions. In addition, the massive tread blocks can be studded. These significantly improve grip on ice and packed snow and extend tyre life.
The massive, V-shaped tread blocks are made of a wear-resistant but flexible rubber compound. The chemical elements added to it allow the tyre to maintain medium hardness even at very low temperatures. As is well known, a flexible tyre grips the road much better and also wears more evenly.
The Aggressive tread is based on a particularly robust carcass. It is reinforced with additional cord or breaker layers, ensuring high impact resistance and extending the life of the tyre.
