ECSTA PS71 EV Features
Kumho ECSTA PS71 EV summertires feature a sporty, asymmetrical tread pattern. The design elements are arranged to minimize rolling resistance, improving electric vehicle battery efficiency and reducing noise levels.
The asymmetrically arranged tread blocks are made from a wear-resistant and flexible rubber compound. The chemical additives incorporated into the compound allow the tire to retain its shape and wear resistance even under intensive driving conditions.
Low noise levels are one of the most important factors when choosing tires for an electric vehicle. Since these vehicles lack an internal combustion engine, every sound is more noticeable inside the cabin. That’s why Kumho engineers have not only improved the tread pattern design but have also incorporated a special foam layer inside the tire to help dampen noise.
Wide drainage channels are located between the tread blocks. They quickly and effectively clear water from the tire’s contact patch with the road, significantly reducing the risk of hydroplaning even at high speeds.
