Description

The Cordiant Comfort 2 SUV summer tyre is designedfor off-road vehicles or SUVs that mainly drive on main and regional national roads with asphalt pavement. This model is characterised by a high level of driving comfort, safety on dry and wet roads. Cordiant tyres are comparable to mid-range or even high-end Hankook, Kleber, Debica, Kumho, etc. and only marginally behind Yokohama, Toyo and many other tyre manufacturers.

2 ply tread

The outer part of the tyre, which is in contact with the road surface, is made of flexible rubber. It absorbs the shock from small bumps on the road, giving a softer ride. The inner part of the tread, on the other hand, is made of a firmer rubber compound. It has several functions. Even pressure distribution inside the tyre ensures fuel economy and even tread wear. It provides better handling and stability at higher speeds.

Compound tyre construction

The compound structure is located directly under the tread. The outer part is made of nylon cords and the inner part of steel cords. The two parts are glued together with a spiral sticker, without any overlapping seams or joints. This construction of the tyre offers several advantages. Firstly, even pressure distribution inside the tyre. Secondly, the ability to maintain the original shape of the tyre during driving (fast starts, braking, sharp turns). The result is improved handling, a more stable car and a quicker, more precise response to steering movements. In addition, the double rubber compound significantly increases the tyre's protection against tears or possible punctures.

3D modelling

The tyre is developed using 3D modelling. This technology allows the tread design to be optimised and the most efficient materials to be selected.

Stable grip characteristics

Optimised tread pattern and shape. Significantly increased road grip area. The shape of this grip area resembles a square. This not only ensures better grip characteristics, but also stability in all driving conditions. *Please note: summer tyres manufactured in China may be marked M + S. It should be borne in mind that the Chinese territory extends into different climatic zones, where in some places the meteorological winter never sets in. So, these tyres can be used there all year round, while in Latvia it doesn't work!
