Goodyear UltraGrip Arctic 2
Description
The Goodyear UltraGrip Arctic 2 is a premium studded winter tyre. It offers particularly good grip on snow and ice as well as on asphalt, and acoustic comfort that is unusual for a stud tyre. Available in a wide range of sizes and suitable for cars, crossovers and even SUVs.
Goodyear UltraGrip Arctic 2 main features
+ Excellent traction on ice thanks to the latest Goodyear radial technology.
+ Improved snow performance.
+ Unusually high acoustic and running comfort for a stud tyre.
+ Increased number of studs.
+ High wear resistance.
Arctic 2 equipment
Goodyear UltraGrip Arctic 2 radial tyres feature a directional tread pattern. The tread blocks are smaller and more numerous compared to its predecessor. This solution is used to improve tyre performance in deep snow and to clear snow and water more efficiently from the tyre contact patch.
The Arctic 2 is also 9% quieter than the previous model. This is thanks to the unique tread block arrangement and radius shape.
Outstanding grip on icy road surfaces is ensured by an improved rubber compound, new stud shapes and an increased number of studs. The new Goodyear UltraGrip Arctic 2 is armed with up to 220 studs per tyre. The size and shape of the stud bed has changed, allowing it to slide inside the tread when in contact with asphalt, reducing wear and noise.
