The Antares Majoris R1 tread has pronounced longitudinal grooves which give the car excellent driving dynamics on both dry and wet roads. The tread has shallow cuts in the middle section, which provide convincing creep and braking performance. Deep channels and small grooves in the shoulder areas allow moisture to be quickly and efficiently wicked away from the contact patch. Therefore, grip remains excellent even in heavy rain. The tread section is very firm, so the car stays firmly on the road at high speeds in straight-ahead traffic or when cornering.
