Description
TheToyo Proxes CF2 SUV is a summer tyre model designed for compact urban crossovers. It is characterised by good handling, improved grip (even on wet roads), fuel economy and driving comfort. All of the above make this model one of the best options for drivers who mostly drive in urban areas.
Key features of the Proxes CF2 SUV
+ An extra layer of steel in the sidewalls ensures the tyre's rigidity and reliability;
+ New rubber compound improves grip on all road surfaces for better acceleration and braking;
+ Improved water evacuation system perfectly pushes slushy precipitation away from the contact area with the road surface;
+ reduced noise emissions due to optimised tread pattern;
+ good wear resistance, even under heavy use.
Proxes CF2 SUV tread characteristics
In the development process of this model, the manufacturer opted for an asymmetric tread design which, due to its construction characteristics, ensures a pleasant ride and is also characterised by excellent wear resistance, which naturally has a positive effect on tyre life. In addition, as is typical of SUV models, it has been designed with additional stiffening elements which have a positive effect on braking on both dry and wet road surfaces, ensuring a high level of safety. The tread is equipped with wide water channels that allow precipitation to be quickly dispersed. This factor guarantees the tyre's performance stability without sacrificing performance even in heavy rain.
Comparing the Toyo Proxes CF2 SUV with previous generations of the same line, the new model has improved braking characteristics. The improvements are due not only to the new rubber compound, but also to the introduction of new elements in the tread sidewalls. The combination of these two innovations resulted in a 3% reduction in braking distances. This may not seem like much, but in a real hazard it can be decisive. In everyday life, this 3% improvement translates into preventing tyre slippage in sharp corners.
Warning: summer tyres made in Asia may be marked M+S. It should be noted that Asia is spread over different climatic zones, where in some places the meteorological winter never sets in. So these tyres can be used there all year round, while in Latvia it doesn't work!
