The tyre tread is designed in an asymmetric style, making the ride quieter and more comfortable. The design features slight directional styling features that help the tyre perform better in the snow. The asymmetrically spaced tread blocks are densely packed with thousands of sipes that literally cut into the slippery surface of the ice with their sharp cants, creating grip.

The Grenlander Winter GL868 rubber compound is reinforced with a range of elastomers that keep the tyre flexible and therefore grippy over a wide temperature range! The tyre's contact surface with the road is kept dry by wide drainage grooves which, in tandem with the sipes, shed water and snow.
