The massive V-shaped tread blocks incorporate an increased number of DualStud technology radiuses. This type of stud is distinguished by its special shape and elongated central stud, which allows it to maintain excellent grip even on icy road sections.

Pirelli Ice Zero is based on a particularly robust but lightweight carcass. It is wrapped in a wear-resistant but flexible rubber alloy. A range of elastomers and other special chemical alloys have been added to the Ripeu rubber compound. These help the tyre to remain flexible at low temperatures, dampen sound, absorb water and improve wear resistance.
