Pirelli Winter Ice Zero 2 uses new materials in its construction, which has made this tyre 15% lighter than its predecessor. This has enabled the tyre's rolling resistance to be reduced, significantly reducing fuel consumption.

TheWinter Ice Zero 2 has a particularly aggressive directional tread design, with brand new stud designs incorporated into the massive blocks. This improvement has allowed for increased grip in both snow and ice, as well as improved stability at high speeds.

Between the symmetrically spaced tread blocks is an advanced drainage channel system that not only reduces the risk of aquaplaning, but also helps to remove mud and snow from the tyre's grip surface. The tread blocks incorporate sipes which, in tandem with the studs, create traction on ice.
