UltraGrip Ice 2 Features
215/50 R18 Goodyear UltraGrip Ice 2 winter tires feature a soft yet aggressive directional tread pattern that allows this model to provide excellent traction on both snow and ice. Grip on ice is further enhanced by thousands of sipes that are densely embedded in the tread blocks and, upon contact with the road, open up to create multiple additional gripping edges. This tire model features a specially developed rubber compound adapted for use in extremely low temperatures. Sound-dampening agents have also been added to the rubber compound, making the ride quiet and comfortable. Significant improvements have also been made to the drainage system. It effectively removes snow, mud, and water from the tire’s contact patch with the road, improving traction in slush and reducing the risk of hydroplaning.
