UltraGrip 8 Performance equipment

The Goodyear UltraGrip 8 Performance winter tyre model features an advanced symmetric tread pattern. This design was chosen because it offers excellent grip and manoeuvrability in harsh winter driving conditions.

The massive, 3-BIS V-shaped tread blocks are armed with Goodyear technology sipes. Acting like studs, they cut into ice and packed snow with sharp edges, improving grip on these slippery surfaces. In addition, these sipes interlock with each other, increasing the grip area and improving slip resistance.

The tread and base are made of an advanced rubber alloy. The elastomers added to the rubber allow the tyre to remain flexible even at low temperatures. As you know, a flexible tyre grips the road much better and also wears more evenly.

To prevent loss of performance and wear at temperatures above 7*C, a layer of Cool Cushion technology is incorporated into the tread. It dissipates heat well, significantly improving wear resistance.
