Yokohama iceGUARD iG60 tyres are armed with a whole host of the latest technologies to help you tackle even the harshest driving conditions. Their asymmetric tread pattern is made from a high-quality rubber compound with Orange Oil S, or Orange Oil Blend. As one of the most sticky substances found in nature, orange oil improves tyre grip on a wide range of road surfaces and helps tyres remain flexible in cold temperatures, Japanese engineers have found. A compound is added to the rubber alloy that allows the tyre to absorb moisture, drying its contact surface with the road.

The iG60's massive, asymmetrically spaced tread blocks feature a highly developed drainage channel system that significantly reduces the risk of aquaplaning. Several thousand Quattro Pyramid 3D technology sipes are densely packed into the tread, improving grip on ice and increasing manoeuvrability on slippery road surfaces.
