TR918 tread characteristics

When designing the TR918, engineers trusted computer simulations and state-of-the-art digital solutions. For example, the tread design was entirely entrusted to computer simulations. Thanks to these solutions, the best tire stress distribution with road contact patch has ever been achieved! This allowed a significant improvement in handling, giving the tyre a consistently reliable performance, as well as a reduction in rolling resistance, thus reducing wear and fuel consumption. The four longitudinal grooves in the central part have a relatively large volume, which allows them to quickly remove almost all the water from the contact patch.

*Caution: summer tyres manufactured in Asian countries may be marked M + S. It should be borne in mind that the Asian territory extends into different climatic zones where, in some places, meteorological winter never sets in.
