The tyre tread is asymmetric, making for a quieter and more comfortable ride. The design features slight directional styling features that help the tyre perform better in snow. The asymmetrically spaced tread blocks are densely packed with thousands of sipes that literally cut into the slippery surface of the ice with their sharp cants, creating grip. The Sailwin Ice Winner 868 rubber compound is reinforced with a range of elastomers that keep the tyre flexible and therefore grippy over a wide temperature range! The tyre's contact surface with the road is kept dry by wide drainage grooves which, in tandem with the sipes, shed water and snow.
