Features of the Cinturato Winter 2
Pirelli Cinturato Winter 2 all-season/winter tyres feature an advanced directional tread pattern. This design was chosen to improve tyre performance in weather conditions where temperatures often hover around 0°C.
One of the cornerstones of this tyre's performance is the increased number of sipes. All of them are made using 3D siping technology and have a total length of 51 metres. Acting like studs, they cut into packed snow and ice with sharp edges, forming a firm grip on slippery surfaces. In addition, the 3D siping technology mentioned above allows the sipes to expand as the tyre wears. This helps to maintain good grip characteristics until the end of the tyre's life.
The directional tread is made of a high-quality composite material. The rubber is formulated using the latest technology, allowing it to be as homogeneous as possible, ensuring higher wear resistance. In addition, the elastomers added to the rubber compound allow the tyre to remain flexible even at very low temperatures. As you know, a flexible tyre grips the road much better and also wears more evenly.
