185/65 R15 The Westlake SW608 winter tires are one of the latest innovations from this increasingly popular Chinese manufacturer. What sets this new model apart is its high performance on any winter road surface, long service life, and, of course, its extremely attractive price.
185/65 R15 Key features of the Westlake SW608 tires
– Five longitudinal ribs combined with a V-shaped tread pattern ensure excellent directional stability, especially on slippery surfaces;
– a large number of solid tread blocks, which give the tire good traction on snowy roads;
– Quick and precise steering response thanks to two rigid longitudinal ribs located in the center;
– Cross-shaped grooves in the shoulder areas provide additional traction in snow;
– good traction on icy surfaces, thanks to the numerous edges that form many wave-shaped sipes as the tire rolls.
V-shaped tread pattern
This model was developed in close collaboration with European tire manufacturers, as evidenced by the V-shaped symmetrical tread pattern characteristic of our region. It features five longitudinal ribs separated from one another by wide drainage grooves. This structure provides the tire with excellent directional stability at any speed. The structure of the central section, consisting of two continuous ribs, ensures rigidity and resistance to deformation while the tire is in motion.
Excellent traction on snow
It is worth noting the tread block structure, which is similar to what we are accustomed to seeing on winter tires from leading European manufacturers. The tread features numerous small sipes that create many contact points during movement. As a result, the tire delivers excellent performance on snow-covered surfaces. In addition, the shoulder areas feature a large number of so-called “snow traps.” These cross-shaped grooves provide additional grip on snow.
