i*cept RS W442 equipment
The Hankook Winter i*cept RS W442 all-season/winter tyre model features a classic directional tread pattern or "herringbone". This design combines optimum performance in snow and slush with a reduced risk of aquaplaning, even at high speeds.
The tread is designed with rounded edges and a series of straight, longitudinal drainage channels throughout the outer radius of the tyre. This is done to lower the tyre's rolling resistance, reducing noise levels and fuel consumption.
The V-shaped tread blocks incorporate sipes which significantly improve the tyre's performance on packed snow and icy conditions. These grip elements create extra traction for tackling slippery winter roads.
A high silica content is added to the rubber compound. This chemical element helps the tyres to remain flexible in low temperatures and also improves the tyres' wear resistance.
