W.drive V903 equipment
The Yokohama W.drive V903 all-season/winter tyre model features an aggressive directional tread pattern. This design combines a low risk of aquaplaning with excellent winter grip.
The massive, V-shaped tread blocks are equipped with thousands of tiny sipes or sipes. In addition, this tyre model uses 3D siping technology. The action of the sipes is similar to that of studs. They cut into compacted snow and ice with sharp edges. The 3D siping technology allows the sipes to lock together, significantly reducing braking distances.
The tread is made of elastomer-rich rubber alloy. A high concentration of silica is added, allowing the tyres to remain flexible at low temperatures. As you know, a flexible tyre grips the road much better and also wears more evenly.
