Scorpion Ice Zero 2 equipment

Pirelli Scorpion Ice Zero 2 has new materials in its construction that have made this tyre 15% lighter than its predecessor. This has enabled the tyre's rolling resistance to be reduced, significantly reducing fuel consumption.

The Ice Zero 2 has chosen a particularly aggressive directional tread design, which incorporates brand new stud designs in its massive blocks. This improvement has allowed for increased grip on both snow and ice, as well as improved stability at high speeds.

Between the symmetrically spaced tread blocks is an advanced drainage channel system that not only reduces the risk of aquaplaning, but also helps to remove mud and snow from the tyre's grip surface. The tread blocks incorporate sipes which, in tandem with the studs, create traction on ice.
