TheMaxxis Premitra Snow WP6 all-season/winter tire features a classic directional tread pattern. This design combines a low risk of hydroplaning with good traction when driving on gravel roads or in snow and slush.

The massive, V-shaped tread blocks are equipped with several hundred fine grooves, or sipes. These function similarly to studs, cutting into packed snow and ice with their sharp edges.

The tread is made from a rubber compound rich in elastomers. The chemical additives in the compound allow the tire to maintain its elasticity at low temperatures. As is well known, a flexible tire provides much better traction on the road and wears more evenly.
