The Hankook Winter i*cept X RW10 Scandinavian-type or soft compound winter tyre features an aggressive directional tread pattern. This tread pattern has been chosen to improve performance even in deep snow and slush. The sharp side knobs ensure excellent manoeuvrability even at high speeds.

The massive, symmetrically spaced tread blocks are "armed" with thousands of sipes. Acting like studs, they cut into ice and packed snow with sharp edges, forming a firm grip on slippery surfaces. In addition, the tyre's rubber is specially formulated to improve grip in harsh winter conditions. The added elastomers allow the tyre to remain flexible even at very low temperatures.
