Sailun Ice Blazer Arctic 2 Winter Tires
The Sailun Ice Blazer Arctic 2 isa new-generation Scandinavian-style,or friction-type,winter tire designed for safe and comfortable driving in harsh winter conditions.
The MMK RIEPAS team, together with representatives from Sailun, tested the Sailun Ice Blazer Arctic 2 in real winter conditions in Finnish Lapland, beyond the Arctic Circle. Compared to the previous Sailun Ice Blazer Arctic model, the new tire has been significantly improved—and we can confirm this based on our own tests.
In our assessment, the Sailun Ice Blazer Arctic 2 provides significantly better traction on snow and ice than the previous model, handles and brakes confidently on dry and wet pavement, and is also surprisingly quiet and comfortable for a winter tire.
Key advantages of the Sailun Ice Blazer Arctic 2
Tested by MMK RIEPAS in Lapland, Finland, beyond the Arctic Circle:
- Significantly improved traction on snow!
- Confident and predictable handling on ice!
- Good handling and braking on dry and wet pavement!
- Very quiet and comfortable ride!
- New-generation directional tread pattern!
- Excellent value for money!

A new-generation winter tire with a directional tread pattern
Unlike the previous Sailun Ice Blazer Arctic model with an asymmetric tread pattern, the Sailun Ice Blazer Arctic 2 features a completely new directional tread design.
The pronounced V-shaped tread pattern helps the tire perform effectively in snow and slush, promoting the removal of snow, water, and slush from the tire’s contact patch.
The densely spaced sipes in the tread blocks create a large number of gripping edges, helping to improve the tire’s traction on snow and icy road surfaces. This is particularly important in Latvia’s variable winter conditions.
One of the biggest advantages of the new model is itsversatility. The tire performs confidently not only in snow and on ice, but also on dry and wet asphalt. Handling is stable and predictable, while braking is reliable—which is especially important during Latvian winters, when road conditions can change within just a few hours.
A very quiet and comfortable winter tire
One of the biggest surprises in the MMK tests wasthe low noise level of theSailun Ice Blazer Arctic 2.
Despite its pronounced directional winter tread pattern and large number of sipes, the tire isvery quiet and comfortable on asphalt. Compared to the previous-generation model, the improvement in ride comfort and noise level is noticeable.
This makes the Sailun Ice Blazer Arctic 2 an excellent choice for drivers looking forquiet winter tires for everyday driving, while maintaining confident traction on snow and ice, as well as stable handling on asphalt.
