Yokohama iceGUARD iG60 tires are equipped with a whole range of the latest technologies to help you tackle even the harshest driving conditions. Their asymmetrical tread pattern is made from a high-quality rubber compound that includes Orange Oil S, a blend of orange oil. As Japanese engineers have discovered, orange oil, being one of the stickiest substances found in nature, improves the tire’s grip on a wide variety of road surfaces and helps the tires maintain their flexibility at low temperatures. A compound has been added to the rubber mixture that allows the tire to absorb moisture, drying its contact surface with the road.

Between the iG60’s massive, asymmetrically arranged tread blocks lies a highly advanced system of drainage channels that significantly reduces the risk of hydroplaning. The tread features several thousand sipes incorporating Quattro Pyramid 3D technology, which improve the tire’s grip on ice and enhance maneuverability on slippery road surfaces.
