This size is usually visible in the car’s door opening or on the fuel filler cap.<\/span><\/p>\n

If your car has had a different owner in the past, we strongly recommend that you check the correct tyre size is being used for your car. Our experts will gladly advise you and help you find the right tyre size.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=”When should I change my tyres? ” tab_id=”1475684492-2-94″][vc_column_text]Tyres should be changed when they are worn out, damaged, or as mandated by law.<\/span><\/p>\n

In Latvia, all vehicles must be equipped with winter tyres from December 1st to March 1st. However, winter tyres (without studs) can be installed as early as October 1st and used until May 1st.<\/span><\/p>\n

Summer tyres, on the other hand, may be used from March 1st to December 1st. The minimum tread depth for winter tyres is 4 mm, while the minimum tread depth for summer tyres is 1.6 mm.<\/span><\/p>\n

If your vehicle has studded tyres, you must change them if you\u2019re travelling to a European country where driving with studded winter tyres is prohibited.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=”If I only want to change two tyres on my car, which is better?”][vc_column_text]If your car has only two tyres with significant wear, it may be worth checking and finding out the cause. When replacing just two tyres, installing the new tyres on the tow axle is generally recommended, as it ensures better stability and control, particularly in wet or slippery conditions.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab title=”What is the difference between symmetrical, asymmetrical, and directional tread patterns?”][vc_column_text]The directional tread pattern provides good grip and shorter braking distances and is very good at shedding water. The symmetrical tread pattern ensures very good water drainage. The mounting direction is not important when changing tyres.<\/span><\/p>\n

Asymmetric treads offer high performance on both dry and wet roads, good cornering stability, and good water drainage. Yes, if your car is involved in an accident, the insurer may refuse to pay out the insurance because of insufficient tyre tread depth or unsuitable tyres (e.g., driving with summer tyres in winter).<\/span><\/p>\n

Yes, of course. Every tyre manufacturer guarantees its tyres accordingly. However, the tyre warranty does not cover mechanical damage to the tyre, for example, punctures or hitting a sharp object.<\/span><\/p>\n

Under EU rules, tire manufacturers self-certify their tires. Each tire model and size is individually tested, classified, and certified.
